The Welsh Assembly Government is providing a grant for low income families to help with the purchase of school uniform for their children.
How much is available?
A grant of £100 per eligible child.
Who is eligible?
Pupils entering Year 7 of maintained secondary schools in Wales in the 2009/10 school year who are eligible for free school meals; and
Pupils in special schools, special needs resource bases and pupil referral units in Wales who are aged 11 at the start of the 2009/10 school year and who are eligible for free school meals.

Applications for this grant should be made to your Local Education Authority. Your child’s school can provide you with the address.
