Ambulance Response Time Concerns

Ambulance crews in many parts of Joyce's constituency are falling below the target of reaching 65 per cent of Category A (highest risk) 999 calls. Joyce has raised concerns about the level of hospital turnarounds after being alerted to the issue by a Carmarthenshire constituent. She discovered that the number of hours lost to handovers of over 20 minutes in December 2008 was double the amount in December 2006. She has written to health boards and trusts asking for reassurances that this will be addressed.
