JOYCE WATSON AM is urging local community groups in areas blighted by illegal fly-tipping to apply for funds towards the cost of clear-up.
The fund is administered by Keep Wales Tidy and made available by the Welsh Assembly Government.
Mid and West Wales Assembly Member JOYCE WATSON AM said:
“Fly-tipping is ugly, dirty and often dangerous, so I am glad our Welsh Assembly Government is offering help to fight it.
“This fund offers help to owners of private land to restore land to make it fit for use by the public following fly-tipping attacks. Around £9,000 remains in the fund to be claimed.
“In order to be eligible for money from the Fly-tipping Clearance Assistance Fund, landowners must demonstrate that their land is open to the public and that it provides a benefit to the local community, such as local sports clubs, churches or volunteer groups.”
