Enjoy free trip to our historic castles on St David’s Day, urges Joyce

Labour Assembly Member for Gwynedd JOYCE WATSON AM has encouraged Gwynedd residents to celebrate St David’s day with a free visit to historic sites included Criccieth Castle, Harlech Castle and Dolwyddelan Castle.

Visitors will be let in for free at all of Cadw’s historical monuments which are open on March 1st to celebrate Wales’ history and culture on our national day.

Labour Assembly Member for Gwynedd JOYCE WATSON AM said:

“I am delighted with this move. Our historic sites are a wonderful place to spend a day with friends and family.

“As March 1st falls on a Saturday this year it is an ideal time to mark the day by visiting our historic attractions.

“This is an excellent initiative which I hope will allow Gwynedd residents, and people from across Wales, to discover our shared Welsh heritage and to celebrate St David’s Day.

“By offering free admission to our fantastic heritage sites on St David’s Day, the Labour-led Assembly is proving that it is committed to widening access for everyone to the heritage of Wales.”
