Labour Assembly Member for Mid and West Wales Joyce Watson AM has welcomed Wales' new Children's Commissioner, Keith Towler.
JOYCE WATSON AM said:
"I welcome Keith Towler's appointment as the new Children's Commissioner for Wales and I look forward to establishing a good working relationship with him. Mr Towler has achieved a good deal with Save the Children in Wales.
"Children's issues have always been a priority to me, from chairing the Garth Youth Project in Pembrokeshire to now being Chair of the Assembly Cross-party group on the Trafficking of Women and Children and Vice-Chair of the Assembly cross-party group for Looked-After Children.
“Children have so much potential, and we all have a role to play in helping their development.
"Although I did not work directly with Peter Clarke I worked closely with his deputy Maria Battle, and I know how much good work Mr Towler will be building on.
"There are many challenges ahead in supporting the children of Wales and I wish him well with them."
