Over 30 members of the Co-operative Party from Llanelli, Ty Croes and Ammanford were greeted by local Labour Assembly Members JOYCE WATSON AM and ALUN DAVIES AM at the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff Bay yesterday.
The members, including the Mayor of Llanelli Cllr Hubert Hitchman, Cllr Janice Williams and Cllr Tegwyn Devichand toured the building and saw First Minister Rhodri Morgan's question time.
Cllr Jan Williams said: "As more and more powers become devolved to Cardiff Bay it's important to see how things are run. We were very impressed by how hi-tech it was, with simultaneous translation between English and Welsh. We thoroughly enjoyed the day."
Joyce Watson AM said: "Co-op members do a lot of good work for Carmarthenshire, and it was a pleasure to meet them all.
"If any other community groups would like to come to the Senedd, please do not hesitate to get in touch with my office on 029 20898614 and we will do our best to arrange a visit."
