£2.8m Make Over for Wrexham's Town Centre

Wrexham's town centre is going to get a £2.8m environmental make-over backed by an Assembly Government Town Improvement Grant. The project will take in whole raft of individual schemes ranging from new paving, planting and landscaping to new street lighting.

The Assembly Government has announced that a £1.73m grant from the Labour-led Assembly Government would enable the programme to go ahead. The new Project will make an impact on a number of areas around the town centre - and includes improvements to the road infrastructure to aid traffic flow and reduce congestion.

Additional funding for the scheme has been provided by Wrexham County Borough Council and by Wilson Bowden Developments Ltd for the highway improvements that will ease traffic congestion around Eagles Meadow.
